2022 春季師友藝術計劃 | SPRING 2022 YOUTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

As the second time running our mentorship program, we continue to offer this opportunity to young artists to learn from experienced, participating HKWALLS artists. Our selected mentees get the chance to create a mural and hone their talent and creativity, learning from the best.

這是我們第二次舉辦導師計劃，我們將繼續為年輕藝術家提供向經驗豐富的HKWALLS藝術家學習的機會。我們選拔的學員將有機會創作壁畫，磨練技藝，激發創造力，並向業內頂尖人士學習。

CHARLOTTE MUI WITH CAROL MUI

Charlotte Mui @cmuins, working under Mentor Carol Mui @carolmuiii, was able to showcase her talents as an art-maker, closet-writer, and tarot-reader. Her work often reflects her own experiences and draws inspiration from mythologies, art history, theatre, popular culture, her childhood and her home. Charlotte has she released her own hand-illustrated tarot deck, L’Œil de L’Âme Tarot, and has exhibited with Alisan Fine Arts for the French May and at the Asia Art Archive’s Annual Fundraiser.

Charlotte Mui 及導師 Carol Mui 。Charlotte多才多藝，既是藝術家，亦是業餘作家、塔羅牌占卜師，有朋友稱她為女巫。她的作品時常反映自身經歷，創作靈感多源於神話、藝術史、劇場、流行文化、童年回憶和她的家。Charlotte創作了手繪塔羅牌L’Œil de L’Âme，並曾於藝倡畫廊、法國五月及亞洲藝術文獻庫周年籌款中展出。

CARSON WONG WITH KRISTOPHER HO

Mentee Carson Wong, working with mentor Kristopher Ho, is from Hong Kong- born in Vancouver, raised in Shanghai and attended university at Central Saint Martins. Carson’s interest in art started high school in Shanghai. After experimenting with various mediums, he gravitated towards fine liner pens and drawing on paper but has also explored digitizing his work. Carson has also recently begun to paint using acrylics which has resulted in more cartoon-like and graphic work, in contrast to the highly detailed pen drawings, and has taken his new developments to his mural work under this mentorship.

Carson Wong 正與導師 Kristopher Ho 合作。現於香港的Carson 生於溫哥華，於上海長大，並在中央聖丁馬學院就讀大學。Carson 對於藝術的興趣源於上海，那是他正在就讀中學。經過不同媒介的試驗，他傾向於使用細字筆和在畫紙上創作，但他也在嘗試數碼化他的墨畫和於電腦上填色。最近Carson 也開始使用塑膠彩創作，這也使到他的作品更加卡通和像平面圖形設計，這與他以往極細緻的鋼筆畫形成強烈對比。敬請關注我們以更新更多Carson於學員計劃中所創造的軌跡。

RIDA NISAR WITH REBECCA T LIN

Rida Nisar @ridanisar is working with Mentor Rebecca T Lin @ rtl.creations. Rida is currently studying prop making and scenic painting at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Rida became interested in mural painting 2 years ago but has been passionate about the arts since she was young. Rida’s work uses a lot of colour and takes inspiration from ethnic and cultural art related to her heritage, carrying her artistic style forwards in creating a mural under Rebecca.

Rida Nisar 嘅導師是Rebecca T Lin 。Rida現正於香港演藝學院修讀道具製作同佈景繪畫，從小已對藝術充滿興趣，兩年前更開始鍾情壁畫創作。她家鄉的民族文化就是靈感泉源，令她的作品呈現豐富的色彩。參與今次嘅計劃，Rida期望建立更獨特的藝術風格和提升壁畫繪畫技巧。

SIN CHUN HIN WITH KRISTOPHER HO

Mentee Sin Chun Hin @hiim_ssiinnn, who is working with Mentor Kristopher Ho (@kristopherh), has dabbled in various different mediums, such as: woodcuts, street art, pointillism, perspective paintings, and more. Recently, lines are his focus. Having been a woodworker for many years, Sin uses his woodworking tool “Chalk Line” in his current painting practice. His work revolves around a main theme of “value” and aims to create mixed feelings of rationality and irrationality. Sin aims to create works that can inspire people and develop a whole new art style.

導師Kristopher Ho 嘅另一位學員是Sin Chun Hin。Sin曾涉足不同類型的藝術創作，包括木刻版畫、街頭藝術、點描畫、透視畫等，最近主要專注於線條創作。曾任職多年木工，Sin現時練習以木工工具「墨斗」來繪畫。他的作品總圍繞著「價」為主題，同時希望呈現一種理性與非理性嘅混合感覺。Sin 期望創作出對人有啟發性的作品，並希望發展出嶄新嘅風格。

CELINE SETIADI WITH STERN ROCKWELL

Celine Setiadi @celtiadi, who is working with Mentor Stern Rockwell @stern_rockwell. Celine is an artist and designer originally from Indonesia and raised in Hong Kong. Celine studied in the UK and recently returned to HK. There are two core explorations in her work: an abstraction of journeys, navigating and being in the world, and figurative study of the body and psyche. Her current mediums are paintings on canvas and paper as well as printmaking but has always thought about her work in relation to a wider context.

Stern Rockwell 以及一起合作的學員 Celine Setiadi。Celine 是一位來自印尼, 在香港長大的藝術家和設計師。她曾在英國修讀藝術，最近才返回香港。她的作品有兩個探索重點:抽象地思索旅程、從而正念航行於世，以及對身體和心靈的比較。她目前的媒介是畫布, 紙上繪畫，以及版畫，但她亦一直在思考，如何讓自己的作品走向更廣泛的框架。
