I took my animal companions to observe the lifestyle of Hong Kong in the corners of the city, located on the wall at the top of this slope, the picture is incomplete when viewed from the bottom, the mischievous fox shows half of its face waiting for the next viewer attracted by it, the bird leaps and flutters and wants to hurry to the next destination. This is probably the feeling that vibrant Hong Kong gives me, the attraction, the freshness. As a passer-by, I can only observe the place briefly and leave some traces, only by experiencing it up close can I see the details of life in the whole city!
Satr has been involved in street art since 2013. Her technique of using spray paint atomization to create unique contours and shapes, makes the animals in her paintings appear to be extremely dynamic with a smoky quality to their edges. She experiments with and widely researches the use of transparent graffiti spray paint, making her work stand out from the traditional Chinese painting style. In addition to using atomization and transparency, she also successfully uses ink and wash to create the perfect balance between the boldness of Western graffiti contrasted by the delicate brush strokes of Eastern-style paintings. There is a strong Oriental undertone in Satr’s work, and she acknowledges this significance with the use of ancient seal-engraved signatures.
