TAXA

TAXA was born and raised in Japan where he established a love of Japanese traditional and contemporary art. He later went on to explore the world and has lived in Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Hong Kong, These experiences and cultural differences have inspired his art and lifestyle.

TAXA sees hands as expressions of emotion, art, and creativity. Using spray paint and a drawn cap on the mural, he emphasizes the importance of the hand’s creative power. The artwork features faces that also convey emotions, highlighting human expression. A prominent element is a snake, symbolizing protection and good fortune, which TAXA has wanted to depict for some time. He painted a red chrysanthemum, symbolizing vitality. Overall, the piece reflects universal language of emotion through powerful imagery.
