MOONCASKET
Mooncasket is an illustrator who draws inspiration from her everyday surroundings, her love for kooky monsters, and her obsession with retro cartoons. She began her career creating zines and stickers using do-it-yourself platforms. Her retro-cute aesthetic is inspired by 2000s skate culture and characterised by a playful attitude and distinctive character designs.
This installation explores participation and transformation, with the truck serving as both a home and a canvas—an incomplete world that relies on visitors to come alive. The black and white clown symbolizes a space waiting to be filled, where drawing and marking shifts visitors from observers to collaborators. Their participation creates an archive of shared creativity and imagination. Titled In Good Company, the work emphasizes movement and connection as it travels to new locations. The clown, as host, transforms the truck into a traveling home, with each visitor becoming a new companion, enriching the space through their presence and marks.
