This artwork features Hong Kong’s native Leopard Cat (豹貓) and Red Muntjac (赤麂). It also references similar animals in Taiwan, such as the Muntjac Deer (山羌) and the Clouded Leopard (石虎). The Leopard Cat, a stealthy predator, is depicted with dynamic lines, while the Muntjac is portrayed with softer strokes. These animals, though rarely seen, symbolize the delicate balance of their ecosystems—strength and serenity—highlighting the rich biodiversity quietly thriving in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. The artwork invites viewers to appreciate and protect these hidden East Asian wildlife wonders, forging a regional connection.
