Dedicated to Hopare’s site-specific installation “Indigo Memories” at PMQ, the ROOM acts as a glimpse into the making of this massive project. Showcasing the building’s past—from its origins as a dormitory to its current role as a cultural hub—the work centers on a figure inspired by stories shared by former PMQ tenants, weaving their collective memories into Hopare’s signature abstract style.
Hopare is a French Artist that has developed his own aesthetic and natural vocabulary made of lines, intertwining colors, perspectives, and sketches, or even geometrics and abstract curves to draw his iconic portraits in murals, drawings and installations shown across the world.
Hopare 有一套獨特的美學詞彙,以線條、交織的色彩、透視法和素描,甚至幾何圖形和抽象曲線,在全球各地的壁畫、繪畫和裝置藝術中,繪製其標誌性的人物肖像。
This ROOM is a temporary installation and is on display until 25 April, 2025.
HKWALLS ROOMS was a unique collaboration opportunity of artists and galleries participating in a groundbreaking street art focused pop-up exhibition at PMQ, Hong Kong. The event featured 11 urban and contemporary art artists and galleries in a culturally rich and centrally located venue.
