HKWALLS HONG KONG AiR AT KING GEORGE V SCHOOL WITH TAXA
HKwalls‘ Hong Kong Artist-in-Residence programme (aka Hong Kong AiR) is a multi-disciplinary initiative which aims to engage different communities and promote Hong Kong and emerging artists all over the world. This time, we have brought Hong Kong AiR to King George V School (KGV). A mural themed on science and environment was implemented on a wall at the school’s Science department. Designs and ideas were collected from students before they got their hands dirty. Our supervising artist, TAXA, would also give a workshop to students on spray paint and brush techniques to prepare for the main event. The entire process provided students with fun experiences in collaborative work and creative art-making. They developed a deeper understanding of the mural themes, as well as mastery of practical tools.
